most of the maps used in pickup servers rulz + i am always for not playing dm7 at all or just once per day :P
so yeah i would like to see maps like:
ospdm3
ospdm1
psidm7
jaxdm8
6++
7++
5++
pro maps like pro-dm13 pro-q3tourney7 and others (listed only my top favorites)
+ i think that because of people are not playing all maps but just dm7 q3 1.16 is known to be boring.

not rly, on 7++ is more places to camp, especially u can see there dungeon/basement campers, which shoots by this small iron bars to enemies runing on bh/rl. For me 6++ is nicer than dm6, but 7++ is worser than dm7 ;p

ppl dont know area names, so cant do teamwork, dont know camping spots, dont know spawn spots, so they think those maps suck... and those costume made maps have to be downloaded first and lot of ppl dont want to bother to dl them... thats the main problem in this idea...

but yeah downloading also is a problem indeed. but as i said just need to start playing and forcing people to try new maps in scrims.

Including new maps in some quake 3 tourney could be an idea, forcing people to train the maps if they want to win. Downloading takes very little time, but people don't want to play the maps or something dammit.

really maybe it is good idea to start thinking about tournament rules and formation after post all that info in forum and give clans time to prepare - train in new maps.
and then see how it goes and who is "anit-monomapper champion"

a public server with map rotation of the different maps would be nice for people to practice, however most ppl don't like that and will just look for a different server with dm7 running, imo new maps are good but I also think dm7 is just a rly good map to play rail on.

there will be nabs always
i think that we need to start with scrims then go for public if that is possible. some clans just can start to see how ppl do in "non standard" maps.
