My screen went black during a scrim, and i couldn't do nothing about it. Suddenly it went back to normal and i thought no more about it, but then it happened next day too 2 times and the second time it didn't go back to normal. I've checked for loose cables and everything else I could think of, í've even tried with another monitor, but there's something wrong in the computer itself i guess. So for now everything I got on it is gone and I have to buy a new one, which means I will not be able to play quake in the nearest future at all.

yeah i had same problem with my pc when i had crt monitor - actually main cable did burn inside it or something and despite the fact that all connections where stable it did do that when i touched monitor or cable.
interesting that same was with another monitor - maybe you kept the cable with connect pc with monitor?
also try to check maybe your graphic card is getting lose in motherboard slot...
if not i guess your card is gonna die soon or you have some kind of virus...

check the cable, check ur card and RAM memory ( maybe even some other, download from internet, i am sure u can find it ), download some antivirus trial ( kaspersky or bitdefender )...if nothing happend, unplug ur HDD and plug it to some other PC ( check it first from viruses of course ), and do backup.HF! :)
